I hope everyone has had a great May so far! We're working hard at filling out the manuscript for the book, adding the content from the stretch goals, and getting everything organized as early as possible for production when we get it started.
I wanted to touch base on the schedule for two waves of content, and also post a reminder about BackerKit surveys:
About 9% of everyone still has not filled out their survey. Please check your Email or message us directly for the link to it, as your BackerKit surveys are critical to getting digital rewards and will be necessary down the road for fulfillment.
Though everyone currently has access to the existing Digital Rewards through BackerKit, we want to get DTRPG links out to everyone soon so you have full ownership of updated content (like the revised versions of Lyre's Guide to Retia and Risk & Reward that were recently put out). We were waiting for the first month of surveys to be done, so at the start of June, we're going to send out the complimentary copy links for DTRPG content (except for what hasn't been released yet, of course).
Also starting next month, we will begin monthly rollout periods for playtest content! These will be distributed via DTRPG, and will have feedback documents included that you can send feedback to if you wish. We're open to hearing anything, but we'll be specific about the type of feedback that might be most helpful for us when they go out. The waves of feedback will be roughly as follows:
You may notice that there is no NPC/monster phase - we playtest NPC encounters internally, so we don't typically run a public playtest period for NPCs.
If book production goes quicker than we expect, these playtest periods will be accelerated, but we'll stick to monthly releases in the meantime! As usual, we expect art assets to be the last thing done for the project.
As another side-note, our second quarterly splash book, Dead Saint Record, should be coming out sometime next month as well (Lana Fateful Vault was the first one). We'll post on here about it, but backers will get a limited discount link for the first bunch who use it. It'll be a roughly 80 page book with more spells, subclasses, subraces, etc..
